Privacy policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
Plain-language version: we collect the minimum needed to run this community, we don't sell anything, and we try to be upfront about what this site is and isn't.
What we collect
An email address and password to create an account (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your password directly). A display name you choose. Anything you post or reply on the wall, along with a timestamp. If you report a post, the post and any reason you give, visible only to admins. If you subscribe to the weekly digest, just the email address you provide — sent to our email delivery provider, Resend, only to deliver that digest, and removable any time via the unsubscribe link. If you use the "request a condition" form, whatever condition and note you submit, plus an optional way to reach you if you provide one.
What we don't collect
We don't run advertising trackers, and we don't ask for or store diagnoses, medical records, or health information beyond whatever you choose to type into a post yourself. There's no analytics tooling on this site beyond what's strictly needed to keep it running.
How your data is stored
Everything lives in a Supabase-hosted Postgres database. Supabase acts as our data processor — they host the infrastructure, we don't run our own servers. Wall posts are protected by row-level security so only logged-in members can read them, and only you can edit or delete your own.
Who can see what you post
Posts on the wall are visible to any logged-in member, alongside the display name you chose at signup. They aren't public to the open internet, and we don't share, sell, or rent your posts or account information to advertisers or data brokers — full stop.
Cookies
We use a session cookie strictly to keep you logged in between visits. There are no third-party marketing or tracking cookies on this site.
This isn't a covered medical service
Running on Low is a peer community, not a healthcare provider, and this site isn't a HIPAA-covered entity. Anything you choose to share here doesn't have the same legal protections as information you share with your doctor. Please keep that in mind when deciding what to post, especially anything highly sensitive.
Your choices
You can delete any post you've made at any time. To delete your account entirely or request a copy of your data, email us and we'll take care of it — self-service account deletion isn't built yet, but every request will be honored.
Children
This site is intended for adults managing their own health, not children under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date below and do our best to flag it on the site.
