Running on LowCommunity

Community guidelines

Short version: treat this like a room full of people who are exhausted, doing their best, and deserve to feel safe saying so. Longer version below.

What's welcome here

Wins, struggles, and everything in between

Good day or bad, diagnosed last week or fifteen years ago — the wall is for all of it. You don't need a reason to post other than wanting to be heard.

Personal experience, clearly labeled as such

"This is what worked for me" is always welcome. It's a different thing from telling someone else what will work for them — see below.

Honest questions

About symptoms, doctors, medications, or just what to expect — there's no question too small or too obvious here.

Disagreement, held with care

People will manage the same condition differently. You can say so without implying someone else is doing it wrong.

What isn't

Medical advice presented as fact

"You should stop taking that medication" or "you definitely have X" crosses a line personal experience doesn't. Share what you did — leave the diagnosing and prescribing to actual doctors.

Selling or promoting

MLM pitches, "ask me about my supplement business," and unsolicited product promotion aren't why people come here. Recommending something that genuinely helped you is fine; selling it isn't.

Harassment, judgment, or shaming

About weight, appearance, treatment choices, how someone manages their illness, or anything else. This includes subtler versions — "well actually" energy aimed at making someone feel small.

Graphic detail around self-harm

It's completely fine to say you're struggling or having a hard time. Specific methods or plans aren't something the wall is equipped to hold — see the note on crisis support below.

Doxxing or identifying information about others

Don't share anyone else's full name, location, workplace, or other identifying details without their explicit okay — including your own doctor's name in a way that could cause them problems.

If someone's really struggling

If a post makes you worried about someone's safety, or you're the one feeling that way, the wall itself isn't the right tool for a crisis. There's a crisis support page with people available 24/7, and it's always okay to point someone there gently rather than trying to handle it alone in the comments.

How moderation works

You can delete your own posts at any time, and admins can remove any post that crosses a line above. Every post also has a Report link — reporting sends it to an admin for review rather than removing it automatically.

These guidelines may be updated as the community grows. See our Privacy Policy for how information shared here is handled.
